In response to our call for volunteers to join the Building Maintenance team, we have received a good response. Volunteers with different background and knowledge offer their assistance. We are trying to build a team so that they can be consulted in their expertise when issue arises. It is not a structured- regular-meeting kind of commitment. You can offer your time to participate as in Case 1 below or share your talents with a hand-on approach as in Case 2 below. We need more volunteers. Tell us what your background is and how you can help. We will include you on our team and will contact you when there is a need for your assistance. Please contact Kevin Leung directly at firstname.lastname@example.org
A big thank you to the volunteer cleaning crew (Lou Guay, Martin Phiri, Martin Enu, Fernado Bueno, Denise Pasieczka, Nico Van Kats, Ron Choiselat, Darryl Kalichak, Mia Downey and Tim Downey) who did a fantastic cleaning on Saturday, October 11th. With the position of building manager unfilled and to minimize expenses during the pandemic, Tim Downey and Lou Guay of The Knights of Columbus have come forward to champion the routine cleaning and janitoring services of the church. They are still recruiting more volunteers so that a schedule can be prepared. The more volunteers, the better it is so that it can be spread out to distribute the load. IF you are interested to participate, please contact Tim Downey at "Tim Downey" <email@example.com> or by phone 204-330-7552
Another big thank you goes to Vinh Nguyen who repaired the damaged wall at the back entrance. He patched the hole and repainted the area.
