As you have probably heard, the Province of Manitoba issued new health restrictions taking effect today, Tuesday, December 21, and lasting until January 11, 2022.

During this period, faith-based gatherings will be limited to 25 people or 25% capacity whichever is lower if no proof of vaccination is required.  If proof of vaccination is required, we are allowed 50% capacity.   Thus far, the policy of the Archdiocese of St. Boniface has been to not require any proof of vaccination.  However, for December 24, 25, and 26 only, we are allowed to hold masses requiring proof of vaccination, as long as we also offer at least one mass which does not require proof of vaccination.

Here at Mary, Mother, we have decided that proof of vaccination from all those eligible for vaccination will be required at the following masses:

December 24 (Christmas Eve):

  • 5:00 pm
  • 7:00 pm
  • 9:00 pm

December 25 (Christmas Day):

  • 11:00 am

December 26 (Sunday):

  • 10:30 am
  • 12:15 pm

We will also have masses where no proof of vaccination will be required:

  • Christmas Eve, Midnight Mass (NOW FULL)
  • Sunday, December 26, 9:00 am

At these masses we will be limited to 25 people in the church and 25 people in the hall.  Those sitting in the hall must enter and exit through the back doors.  Pre-registration will be required.  Please email theresa@ mmoc.ca to reserve a seat at these masses.

If you need to cancel your Christmas mass reservation for whatever reason, please email theresa@mmoc.ca.  Those already registered in the midnight mass will be contacted to see if we can accommodate you at another mass.

We will be livestreaming the 5:00 pm Mass on Christmas Eve for those who will be worshipping with us at home.

If you would like to reserve a spot at the midnight mass (no proof of vaccination required), please click here to make an online request, or email theresa@mmoc.ca
