On June 15, 2019, the ecumenical partnership of Epiphany Lutheran and Mary Mother of the Church presented a Lunch and Learn event.
Twenty-four (24) caregivers from the faith communities of Epiphany Lutheran, Mary Mother of the Church, St. Bernadette as well as several walk-ins, gathered at Epiphany Lutheran to hear a presentation on WILLS, POWER OF ATTORNEY AND HEALTH CARE DIRECTIVES The presenter for the session was Krista Clendenning of Tradition Law, a legal firm in Winnipeg, specializing in estates and trusts.
Krista took the group through an explanation/discussion of - Power of Attorney, Health Care Directives (Living Will), Last Will and Testament, Disability Tax Credit (Federal) and the Primary Caregiver Tax Credit (Manitoba). During the session Krista responded to questions from the participants and was available until 1:30 p.m. to speak to participants on a one-to-one basis. As usual, over lunch, attendees availed themselves of the opportunity to connect with other caregivers
Krista also provided a handout that summarized her presentation. It must be noted that this handout does not constitute a legal opinion and it only reflects current information.
