TOWARD A TEACHING OF RESPECT
You are invited to join Archbishop Don Bolen, Rabbi Jeremy Parnes, and Dr. Mary Boys for a special Christian-Jewish dialogue. The event will explore how Christians might develop a "teaching of respect" for Jews and Judaism. The dialogue will be Wednesday, June 2nd from 9:30 to 11:30am (Sask time), 11:30am to 1:30pm (Eastern).
The event is named in honour of Cardinal Augustin Bea, a biblical scholar, archaeologist, ecumenist, and the first president of the Vatican's Commission for Religious Relations with the Jews. Cardinal Bea was instrumental in developing Vatican II's Nostra Aetate, the Declaration on Non-Christian Religions, which rejected the former "teaching of contempt."

This event is planned by the Sion Centre for Dialogue & Encounter (London, UK). The Sisters of Sion are a Roman Catholic religious order committed to relations between Christians and Jews.
